All About My Cat, Noah

Isn't that just the most precious picture you have ever seen in your life? I think so, but I may have a biased opinion. Noah, is 3 year old domestic short hair. During the summer of 2010, my sister & I were obsessed with cats, we would sit together & look at the hundreds of cats on Craigslist. Then one wonderful day, August 17 to be exact, we finally convinced my mom to let us get Noah. We did not have ANY cat supplies whatsoever, no food, no litter, absolutely NOTHING.
DISCLAIMER: I do not recommend ever being unprepared when getting a cat. Having an animal is a big responsibility, blah blah blah... haha!
Anyways, we called up the guy who was selling the cats on Craigslist. (We chose his particular post because the cats he was selling looked so itty bitty & cute. We later found out that they were a measly 5 weeks old, & not weaned from their mothers.) This is post is starting to become a 'How not to adopt a cat' post. Hmm, anyways, I'll keep going. We got into the car & drove to the seller's house, he only had one cat left. The tiny little black tuxedo. All of his brothers & sisters were sold only days earlier. My sister was overjoyed because she wanted a black cat, due to her obsession with Sabrina, the Teenage Witch when she was younger, who knows?! He was tiny, like when we cupped our hands he fit. They put him in a small shoe box (I know, horrible) & we brought him home. We brought him home & my mom watched over him while my sister & I rushed over to Wal-Mart (why we didn't go to PetCo you ask? Because we are total idiots, that is why.) We bought canned food, a bottle, kitten formula, a litterbox, some litter & two toys.
We didn't tell my dad until about 2 days of having Noah, he was fine with it as long as he didn't have to take care of him -_____- I chose the name Noah because of Ryan Gosling's character in The Notebook, not because of Noah's Arc, people always ask me that. No.
3 years later, Noah is my best friend/son & is as healthy as can be. I don't plan on being a cat lady, but if I ever do move out of my mom's house, I will take Noah with me.
Noah's a really quirky cat, since we didn't have much experience with taking care of any animals, we didn't know that he wasn't weaned from his mother & didn't know how to wean him ourselves, because of that he sometimes sucks on our clothes or a blanket before he goes to sleep. It's cute, but I don't know if it's a problem. He isn't a completely indoor cat, he goes into our backyard all the time, thankfully he doesn't know that he is capable of climbing our fence so he stays in there & plays in the grass. For some odd reason, Noah always wants to be petted while he's eating, it's so annoying. He meows & meows until he gets petted! & finally, Noah is a really really selfish cat, he does not like other animals AT ALL! My sister has two other cats, & she brought them over one day, & Noah went crazy, he hissed & growled, the whole nine yards. He has to be the center of attention, but I'm alright with him, I love him.

Disneyland & California Adventures Tips!

We went to Disneyland first because we weren't staying at a "Good Neighbor Hotel" & there was early entry for California Adventures. Because of the "GNH" advantage, I decided Disney was the best choice. (tip: see if you're staying in a GNH & if not do what we did.) My dad wasn't going to the parks with us so he dropped us off SUPER early, 7:30. To my surprise they let us in almost immediately, & the park was close to empty. The adrenaline & excitement was rushing through our veins. tip #2: get to the park early, seriously. early bird really does get the worm.
tip #3: ride the train, it's amazing! it has 4 stops in different areas of the park. I love not walking.
tip #4: FASTPASS, this should be tip #1. It's so simple to use, trust me, UTILIZE IT!!!
tip #5:Take a break in the middle of the day, we took ours around 4, & it was so nice to get out of the heat & rest. Seriously, your feet will thank you!
tip #6: Watch "Micky & the Magical Map", if they still have the show going when you go to DL, it's a must-see. Songs from Pocahontas, the Little Mermaid, the Jungle Book & others are just some of the movies that we performed during the show.

At California Adventures!
tip #7: Get to the park early & wait in the Fastpass line for Radiator Springs Racers! We were pretty far back in line, but once it was 8am, the line went so fast!
tip #8: head to Toy Story Mania as early as possible. The queue sucks, so the earlier you go the shorter the line.
tip #9: Watch the Aladdin show. This show was so worth the wait, trust me, the show is spectacular.
tip #10: Use the Single Rider line at RSR, it's SO freaking fast. We rode this ride 5 or 6 times. The last time we decided to wait in the queue, BIG mistake. It was horrible, don't do it. Use the FASTPASS or Single Rider.
Cars Land is amazing, I would have spent the whole day there if I could, every ride there is a blast!
tip #11: Don't watch the nighttime shows like Fantasmic or World of Color, they really aren't worth it. The biggest regret of the whole entire trip was waiting for Fantasmic, if you can skip it. We got a World of Color FASTPASS, but didn't use it. People reserve space for themselves 3-4 hours before the show even starts, it's ridiculous.

Well, those are my tips, hope it helped (:

My Disneyland Vacation Part 1 (:

The Happiest Place on Earth... it really does live up to it's name. I've been there quite a few times before, but this last time it was just me & my younger brother. Hands down one of the best vacations I have ever been on. He just turned 12 & it was a celebration of sorts. For almost an entire month, I was on Pinterest trying to find tips about Disney & how I could make the most out of my vacation. It really did help, I got a lot of tips there. I'll add a tips post in a few days. I went around August 10-12.

First thing's first, my dad bought our tickets, we got the One Day One Park ticket. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to do enough, but that ticket is SO worth it! Trust me! It's cheaper & it was enough. If you go from opening to closing this ticket is enough, we were able to focus on one park at a time & honestly get a lot done. We did everything we wanted.

What we Wore & Brought
It was pretty warm (but not HOT by California standards, in the low 80s) when we went there. I wore the shirt that you see to the left and a pair of Capri-leggings, I also wore the cutest pair of shoes that my little karate sister, Clarissa, made me. (They were the $12 shoes from Target, she drew all the Cars characters on them for me. I'll try & post a picture of them in another post.) My brother wore a tee & cargo type shorts with lots of pockets. COMFY SHOES ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND, trust me. Shoes are important! My shoes weren't the sturdiest, but they were so cute, I couldn't not wear them. But honestly, no one is looking at what you're wearing, so don't be one of those girls with caked on makeup & heels.

So we packed a few Uncrustables, two bottles of water, snack-packs of Teddy Grahams, and two chocolate bars. I wore a tan crossbody bag, & my brother wore a draw-string. Food at DL & California Adventures is so overpriced, bring your own food & snack while you're waiting in line or waiting for a show to start, or even when you're just walking around.  We tried to pack as light as possible --lugging around 10lbs of unnecessary crap was not part of my plan. In my purse I also had a pack of wipes, chapstick, hand sanitizer, a rollerball perfume, a camera, a whole bunch of paper towels & my phone. No makeup. Hair up in a ponytail. There is really no point, I wasn't trying to look cute for anyone. This is really all we needed for the next 2 days of our euphoric Disney vacation.
